$20,000 (awarded to the restaurant in the form of a check) for restaurant and/or kitchen renovations/improvements to the restaurant location indicated on the entry form; a restaurant consultation by chef/restaurateur Spike Mendelsohn; The consultation will take place at the restaurant location indicated on the entry form; and a trip for four to the 2010 National Restaurant Association Conference in Chicago, May 22-25, 2010 where winner will be presented with the $20,000 award. The trip includes round-trip coach air transportation from major airport nearest winner’s home, 3 nights hotel accommodations (2 rooms/double occupancy) admission to the conference, winner and adult guests will travel together. Winner is solely responsible for all other expenses not specifically set forth herein, including but not limited to meals, additional transportation, souvenirs, upgraded room accommodations and other incidentals and items of a personal nature. The actual retail value of the trip portion of the prize will depend on winner’s point of departure/return. In the event the 2010 National Restaurant Association Conference is cancelled or postponed for any reason, Sponsor will have no obligation to award compensation in lieu thereof.
