Economy is falling down and down and many people getting toss out of their jobs, salary is getting less and you have more things like paying back credit cards, mortgages, car loans, kids education and many other headaches that keeps you bugging day and night. What you need to do is cut down some of the spending that you can now control if you know how to. Saving single dollar in anything in buy helps you to save hundreds of dollars so now you can think to use that money on other things in your life. Grocery bills can be your hand control if you use little tactics. If you can do it then you will save more money than before and stay healthier than before.

1. Let’s face it; you are trying to save money here, not thousands but hundreds which can give you strength to save thousands. Make a plan and make a list of items that you need to cook for next one or two week. It is not good idea to wait your kitchen go completely empty. Go within few days before all or any food supplies are out. Avoiding going to stores on regular basis is good idea. It is wise to go shopping in your full stomach because this will cut down buying junk foods, unnecessary food items that they are not in your list but just to have snacks and because you are hungry, you buy them. There goes your couple of dollars. Therefore it is better if you eat something before you go out to grocery stores.

2. Learn how to organize your plan. Always make sure you know your grocery store that you usually go. Find out when discount sales are on. Usually many stores give discounted price on one day in a week. If you know your day, then you could save your money when you buy same thing before. If you check your local newspaper more often that place discount coupons for certain grocery stores in your area, you should always clip those ads and shop in less price. Also make sure you look for free after rebates because when you get your money back that is same as saving. Some stores puts certain items on Sales every week, don’t miss that day because this will save more money.

3. When you are in grocery store, some stores have clearance racks and if you take a look around, there could be items that you are trying to buy in higher price but instead you will have to pay less because of the clearance offer. Also if you surf around internet, many stores provide discount coupons for their customers who subscribe to their website via newsletter and others. They send email with coupon codes and you can use that code to get items in lesser price. If you cook yourself, always cook less than you are intended because you don’t want to have leftovers but in any case when you finish having your meal, if you get leftovers, make it again for your lunch and don’t waste it.

There might be other ideas and tips for cutting your grocery bill but in fact if you really want to save few hundred dollars, then starting today is the best idea. If you cook by yourself then you know what you want for a week and buying in bulk is best way. Gradually you will start to save more and more money and use those saved money for your vacation, mortgages, credit cards and many more.

The mistakes on this entry are nothing short of egregious!! I started to list them, but found I was copy/pasting almost every sentence.
